I've been interpreting, translating, proofreading, localizing, LQA'ing, editing and/or proofreading (usually a combination thereof) for the last 18 years, with several million words and several hundred days in the booth to show for it. This includes critical and relevant translations for major organizations and agencies as well as direct clients, work as the official interpreter for the Brazilian Minister of Finance during multiple G20 Summits/meetings and two editions of the World Economic Forum, and many other high-profile events and projects. My credentials include a Master's Degree in Conference Interpreting from York University and several courses and refreshers on a number of translation/interpreting-related topics. I'm also a Sworn Translator (Tradutor e Intérprete Público) in Brazil, a tested civil service position that allows me to render translations will full faith and credit and legal value in Brazil. My content areas of expertise are legal, finance, IT and marketing/PR copy, but I've dabbled with many more over the course of what is now a long, fruitful career.
