Wine Tasting hosted by Nika Shevela

A 2.5-hour guided wine tasting of 4 different wines, paired with some snacks: a perfect excuse for getting away from our desks and having fun with likeminded professionals. The theme of the tasting will be the new Spanish appellations and categories, for instance, the new Bierzo DO classification, inspired by the Burgundy appellation system, or Cava de Paraje Cualificado, a name for a new wave of premium cavas. Many of the participating winemakers have also signed a ‘Terroir Manifesto’, a genre many of our association members will be very familiar with.

Nika Shevela, a specialist in wine and words, offers language-related services in wine and tourism including website translation, consecutive interpreting, wine tastings and wine consultancy for a range of clients across Europe and beyond, from her base in Barcelona, Spain.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

THE MEETINGS

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Sharing ideas, creating synergies between language professionals, sharing experiences, meeting colleagues, having a good time away from work and the computer but close to translation and surrounded by people who share our profession and our passion.

The meetings organised by APTIC and MET are now an established reference point for meeting colleagues from the profession in a relaxed environment. The aim is to share experiences, meet new people and approach the sector in a different way.

This activity is open to all language professionals, regardless of whether they belong to one of the two associations. We also hope the meetings will publicise our associations to other professionals.
